It’s hard to perform at your peak when you don’t feel well.

Virginia Intermont Health Services is here to make sure students have quality, accessible and cost-effective health care, so that they can achieve their academic goals.

We coordinate as needed with other university and community health care providers to ensure that students receive the medical help they need.

We also provide prevention, health promotion and healthy lifestyle information through educational and outreach programming. These programs reflect the social, cultural, economic and political diversity of our student population and are consistent with the mission of the college.

Office Hours
We maintain an outpatient health center and provide outpatient medical treatment for minor illness and injury.  There is no charge for an office visit at the Virginia Intermont Student Health Center. The student health center is staffed by a registered nurse and is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Confidentiality
HIPPA guidelines will be followed at all times, and all medical information will be stored in a secure, locked location.  Medical information will only be released after a student has signed a medical release form and returned it to the nurse’s office. Patient privacy is maintained at all times, unless a student poses a threat of bodily harm to him/herself or others.
