Creative Writing

Could you be a voice for Virginia Intermont? Virginia Intermont offers creative writing scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 each academic year, to exceptionally talented students, and is renewable for four years by maintaining a minimum 3.2 GPA. If interested in applying, please submit a writing portfolio, which includes:

• A one-page letter of introduction detailing your habits, goals, and experience as a writer. Please detail any published writing and/or writing group experiences in your letter;
• A 10-page creative writing manuscript in poetry, fiction or non-fiction;
• A 500-1,000 word critical essay that examines a literary work.
